God of Truth, Saint John the Baptist
went before Your Son in both birth and death,
boldly rebuking sin and preparing the way of the Lord.
Grant us the courage to speak Your truth
even when the culture rejects it.
Strengthen us to bear our daily crosses
with unwavering fidelity.
May our words and actions always point others
toward Jesus.
