Almighty God,
Strengthen us for the spiritual struggles we face each day.
Protect us from discouragement, temptation, bitterness, and fear.
Clothe us with faith when doubt attacks,
truth when confusion surrounds us,
and love when anger threatens to divide us.
Help us stand firmly in Christ while remaining gentle toward others.
May prayer, Scripture, the Sacraments,
and the support of our Christian community give us courage
to persevere faithfully in the life of discipleship.
