Guided Walk of Dalgan Woods on Saturday 13th August

National Heritage Week is back in full swing this year after the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Once again people are able to gather and join in activities planned throughout the country as part of Heritage Week.

Here in Dalgan, home of the Columbans in Ireland, we are delighted that the Columban Way/Turas Columbanus will pass through Dalgan Woods en route from the Hill of Tara to Navan. This walk connects with the River Boyne as it flows through the land at Dalgan.

To coincide with National Heritage Week, a guided walk through Dalgan Woods is taking place on Saturday 13th August between 10am and 12 noon.

The walk through Dalgan Woods will celebrate the biodiversity of the landscape as the walker engages with the legacy of St Columbanus, whose quotations are found along the pathways.

We invite visitors who usually walk in the grounds of Dalgan to take part and learn about these beautiful woodlands.

It will be a morning of fun and education as you get to know the names of the trees and learn about the biodiversity that surrounds them.
